Fairly clean and pleasant hotel, great and unbeatable location close to the train station. Perfectly clean and huge units with iced water as well as deep comfy sofas, pleasant employees.

Staff are very friendly, hotel decor and facilities are nice and the atmosphere is relaxed
I use the hotel often and have frequently found the rooms cold. This was the case the last time I used the hotel. Staff are ahhpy to swap rooms for me or give me a heater.

Friendly welcome - and fre internet
Breakfast is generally very good. However this week there were one or two days where poached eggs were hard, bacon cold and toast burnt

unpleasant experience but minor positives
The staff did seem friendly during our brief interaction. The location, while looking dismal, is close to transport links which could be convenient.
The overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired.

We have stayed there 4 times when visiting our daughter in the uni. We find it friendly and good value for money. It is also ideally situated for the university.
It is getting a little bit tatty.

Price is excellent for the value. The staff was generally willing to accommodate my wishes, within the limits of their abilities. The English Breakfast was certainly worth the price (free - included), especially if you like sausage, Canadian Bacon, and black (blood) pudding, which I happen to like. The decor is charming.
1. Music at breakfast! I like peace and quiet, nevertheless I was subjected to listening to a demented D.J with Cockney accent nattering on endless. Whey play music if a custom may not like it? Sometimes the server will turn it off if asked. 2. Wifi available only is _some_ rooms. The staff moved me from a room without wifi to one with it. However, if the hotel is fully booked you would be out of look. Otherwise bring computer to lobby area. 3, Gmail (usually) not available on wifi. It appears that their ISP has been blacklisted by Gmail. I could get every website on the internet except Gmail. From time-to-time Gmail _would_ appear, so perhaps only some IP addresses are blocked.

Good location.
The staff were very unfriendly and they lack good customer care. The room was very small for a double room and had very bad odour. It was not good value for money and I would not recommend to friends.
